Busy, BUSY day today!! Well, yesterday... it's nearly 1am.
First, off to the doctors to talk about allergies, specifically about my face resembling a platypus when I last ate a kiwi. I was prescribed an epi-pen, and referred to a specialist. Umm... an epi-pen?! I mean, yes, my reaction was pretty severe, but I didn't completely stop breathing... ahem. Yeah, not too excited about the thought of possibly needing to shove a needle into my thigh. My various allergies to things such as vinegar and garlic really aren't looking all that bad right now.
After the doctor appointment, I went downstairs in the building to get some bloodwork done for my EDS specialist appointment coming up, and then walked down the street to buy some liquorice for a cake I needed to make for a costume party later that night. On the way home, the liquorice froze... yes, it was that cold, and YES, I'm completely serious. It was really an odd thing.
When I got home, I starting making the cake immediately, as I knew it would take FOREVER. You had to bring a snack to match your costume, so I decided to make a horse cake to go with my cowgirl costume. When I finally got the cake in the oven, my time was spent making two different types of icing. When the icing was made and the cake finally done and cooling, I cleaned up all the dishes. Then, I put the cake in the freezer (makes it easier to work with), and headed off to physio.
I walked home just in time to take the cake out of the freezer, and start the fun - cutting the cake into the shape of a horse, icing it, and decorating. SO. MUCH. FUN.
The party was a ton of fun, and my cake was a hit! I went WAY more full-out than I needed to, but it was a ton of fun, so I don't mind in the least. I even got to take the leftovers home!
Now, I should really be asleep... I'm tutoring Math at 9am tomorrow (today), and then I have a job interview at noon. More on that later!
GOODNIGHT!
